Technical Services Manager 

Location: Leonardo Helicopters - Yeovil.

 Sodexo are recruiting a Technical Services Manager to join our experienced staff community at the Leonardo Helicopters site in Yeovil.

The main focus of the role is to manage the service delivery of all aspects of Technical Services across the Yeovil Campus and Yeovilton training facility in line with all contractual obligations.

 As well as managing the Technical Team, you will also manage the subcontractor’s relationships. 

 Using your professional knowledge, you will provide expert advice and guidance, ensuring that compliance to statutory/regulatory specifications, guidance and support to the Sodexo Site Lead and direct communications and interface with the client are always met to the agreed standard.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out site visits, staff training, review and comment on operational issues, 
• Control of visiting specialist contractors, producing quotations for repair and client project work.
• Undertake training and appointment as a AP in appropriate disciplines
• Undertake the collection and provision of data related to all estate maintenance operations.
• Reviewing ongoing performance levels from data/reports produced by the CAFM/Quality Assurance system. Initiating appropriate actions to ensure agreed performance standards are maintained including if necessary producing and implementing service improvement plans. Carry out reporting as identified in QA system.
• Maintain formal and informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues
• Remain fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.

About You 

You will be highly skilled and experienced in technical facilities management, with a proven track record in delivering exceptional service standards in a multi building services and plant engineering environment. 

Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills will be essential, as will a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of health and safety standards.

Experience of managing large teams of technical staff and contracts is also essential. 

You will also have:

• A HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
• A previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems
• Experience of Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM)
• Preferably to have experience in multi building services and plant engineering, five years as a maintenance craftsman preferably within an engineering role.
• Excellent communications both written and verbal
• A good level of numeracy and computer literacy
