Technical Operations Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking to recruit one of three site based Technical Operations Managers reporting into the Senior Technical Operations Manager to support the delivery of our maintenance services at a large pharmaceutical manufacturing and research site in the north west of England.

Role Responsibility

We are currently developing our site Technical Strategy to improve on existing good practices established under ISO55001 and are looking to be class leading in our maintenance delivery through:

  • Utilisation of new and existing data sources to implement predictive analytics
  • Increased implementation of developing technology
  • Standardisation of processes, tools and supporting information to increase operational efficiency
  • Embedding a culture innovation and continuous improvement

The role is aligned to asset reliability and sustainability across site and is responsible for managing a team of Asset Reliability Engineers and an Energy Advisor that are working towards or have completed engineering qualifications to degree level and registration with the Engineering Council. The key focus of the role is to:

  • Develop an asset reliability strategy in conjunction with other leaders within the business
  • Drive a culture change from reactive maintenance to one that focuses on data analytics and predictive maintenance to optimise asset availability.
  • Enable your team by directing, coaching, coordinating and monitoring resources and activities to enable them to deliver.
  • Inspire your team and develop talents to strive to continuously improve asset reliability.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Desirable:

  • Registration with the Engineering Council and membership of relevant institution (CIBSE, IET, IMECHE, etc.)
  • Experience in quality management systems and an understanding of working within a pharmaceutical industry (GxP)
  • Be an excellent communicator who can engage and motivate their team to achieve a share vision of service excellence.
