Technical Compliance Manager
Job Introduction
As Technical Compliance Manager, you'll assess the impact of, and support implementation resulting from changes in legislation and good industry practice on current activities in support of the Head of Compliance and Lead Auditor.
You'll ensure current delivery meets with legislative, contractual and good industry practice standards, support project based activities with regard to life cycle, product/system selection, and maintainability of assets. support audit teams on Technical Compliance issues.
You'll work with communication teams to disseminate and manage change, you'll also work with Asset Management Teams, Operational teams and audit teams in identifying trends of Technical, Contractual and Good Industry Practice non–compliance, implementing and supporting necessary change as part of continual improvement and risk reduction.
You'' work with SMEs in support of Technical Compliance management and SSOW and provide Health and Safety input from a Technical prospective.

Role Responsibility
- Manage Technical Compliance, current and through changes in legislation and good industry practice moving forward
- Work with other Sodexo work streams, suppliers and client to support compliance, reduce risk and effect change leading to continual improvement
- Add value and advice on cost effective solutions to Technical issues in support of compliance, life cycle, asset and plant selection.
- Identify trends through knowledge capture of our audit activities and CAFM systems to identify risks and enable priorities to be established to rectify
- Support Sodexo teams and client on Technical issues and initiatives.
- Support on Technical issues with regard to supply chain management
- Lead/support in Technical Investigations and Improvement initiatives.
- Investigate and advise on cost and performance efficiencies
- Identify, escalate and act upon lessons learnt
- Identify necessary changes in process effecting compliance, risk and efficient working practices
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience of autonomously auditing and reviewing the performance of hard FM contracts and assessing risk
- Detailed knowledge of Legal and Compliance Regulations relating to Facilities Management and SME knowledge of British Standard Documents and Hard FM Industry good practice such as CIBSE and SFG20
- Practical knowledge of CAFM systems, and the relationship to Hard FM Asset Strategy and the ability to understand the linkage with Asset management strategy and knowledge gathering to drive improvement and compliance.
- Engineering Management experience and a track record of delivering performance/service improvement to meet contractual targets
- Extensive experience of FM support and service provision including PFI .
- Ability to advise, negotiate and influence at all levels communicating difficult messages.
- Detailed and extensive knowledge, experience and commercial understanding of Hard FM Services.
- Extensive experience of managing and delivering improvements through the supply chain engineering service contracts
- Facility Management experience covering administrative, contractual and financial aspects of a facilities management contract.
- Lead change management projects and improvement plans when required
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of life cycle management
- HTC/ HND / Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent
- Membership of a professional body such as CIBSE
