As a Technical Assistant/Drone Pilot with Sodexo, you'll enhance the services of our vibrant corporate site, offering a helping hand to ensure flawless facilities operations and keep things running smoothly.
What you'll do:
The Technical Assistant/Drone pilot is responsible for managing and controlling the issuance of permits required for potentially hazardous work activities. This role ensures that all work is conducted in accordance with established safety procedures, legal requirements, and company standards, thereby minimizing risks to personnel, property, and operations.
The drone pilot requires safety-conscious UAS Pilot / Drone Operator skills to support aerial operations, data collection, and project planning. This role also includes responsibility for managing regulatory compliance, including airspace permits, flight authorisations, and operational approvals.
- Balancing multiple responsibilities and maintaining high standards of service while managing customer expectations in a dynamic environment.
- Adhering to GMP and GxP regulations, including accurate documentation and compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
- Managing multiple requests for SSOW, ensuring completion to correct standard under business pressure
- Risk Assessment Validation: Ensures thorough risk assessments are completed before issuing permits, verifies that hazards are identified and effective controls are established.
- Permit Preparation and Authorization: Prepares, reviews, and authorizes permits by documenting exact work details, scope, location, timing, involved personnel, and all control measures.
- Safety Compliance Verification: Confirms that all safety procedures—like isolations, lockout/tagout, PPE, and emergency arrangements—are implemented before work commences.
- Stakeholder Communication: Briefs relevant personnel on permit conditions, associated hazards, required control measures, and emergency protocols.
- Coordination of Work Activities: Coordinates with other departments and work groups to identify conflicts with simultaneous operations and resolve them to maintain safety.
- Permit Monitoring: Conducts periodic inspections to verify ongoing compliance with permit conditions and immediately addresses any deviations.
- Documentation & Record Management: Ensures permits are properly closed out, records are maintained, and documentation meets company and regulatory standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Participates in incident reviews and contributes to improvement of PTW processes and safety culture.
- Drone Pilot - Operating drones (UAS) safely and effectively for aerial surveys, inspections, mapping, photography, and video, with a strong emphasis on compliance with operational requirements and safety protocols throughout each mission. Responsibilities include planning and executing flight missions, conducting pre-flight checks, performing site assessments, and conducting thorough risk analyses prior to every assignment.
