The Offender Manager Unit (IOMU) sits at the very heart of Forest Bank – providing comprehensive support to prisoners to ensure that they have a comprehensive and purposeful support plan throughout their sentence and beyond.
Role Responsibility
- Lead, support and manage staff from multi-disciplinary backgrounds
- Manage relationships and liaison with other departments and external agencies
- Manage your own case load of offenders
- Countersigning of Oasys assessments
- Assist in risk assessment of sentenced offenders in conjunction with an Offender Manager and recommend appropriate offending behaviour and other courses to reduce the risk to the public
- Oversee the smooth operational running of the OMU in the Managers absence
- Ensuring good knowledge of HMP Forest Banks Policy and overarching knowledge of Offender Management
- Take responsibility for regime monitoring
The Ideal Candidate
- Understanding of the NOMS Pathways and Offender Management
- Understanding of Phase II and III Offender Management model
- Understanding of risk assessments
- Well developed communication skills and a calm, yet assertive, manner
- Strong leadership skills
Package Description
