Switchboard Operators - Healthcare

In these exciting crucial roles, your focus will be on acting as the first point of contact providing a telephony service for our internal and external Clients and customers. Reporting to the Switchboard Supervisor you will be working as part of the Switchboard team on our Hereford Contract.  This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression. 

You will also provide administrative duties as required. Full training will be given to someone who wants to be part of this crucial team. If you have an excellent telephone manner with good general office experience and can keep calm under pressure, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Excellent communication skills are essential together with good keyboard skills and a willingness to learn!

What you'll do:

  • Effective operation of the Switchboard and its associated systems.
  • Answer all calls politely and promptly.
  • To comply with operational policies and procedures.
  • Support other Sodexo staff in their duties.
  • Provide operational cover for other clerical staff.
  • Telephone and face to face liaison with internal staff and contractors.
  • Operate and update the paging and bleep systems.
  • Initiate internal procedures on activation of emergency call or alarm.
  • General admin office day to day duties.

  • Excellent organisation skills and with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment
