Supervisor / Bartender

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to add Supervisor / Bartender to our team at the Keeper’s House situated within the Royal Academy of Arts, London to deliver a world class guest experience. 

The Keeper's House is a perfect blend of art and hospitality; creating a “home away from home” for Friends of the RA, Patrons, Royal Academicians and visitors. Inside you’ll find a café, a member’s room and a cosy bar with its own secret garden. The walls of Keeper’s House are adorned with a revolving programme of RA Editions, presenting works for sale from Academicians and other invited artists.

 


Role Responsibility

  • Be a vital part of the Front of house operation by supervising and ensuring bar runs smoothly and efficiently on a day to day basis
  • Provide excellent customer service with a dedicated and helpful approach 
  • Be responsible for the opening and closing of the bar, ensuring all procedures are followed according to company policy.
  • Manage stock inventory effectively
  • Use innovation and upselling skills to engage the team to drive sales in line with targets
  • Work with the wider catering team in order to provide excellent customer service
  • Adhere to all H&S regulations (Such as food safety, allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP regulations.)
  • Improve the quality of life for those we are serving

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will be able to comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place.
  • You will ensure that all relevant checklists have been completed, adhered to and updated as required.
  • You will ensure that sufficient staffing levels are in place at all times to ensure that the Keepers House areas run as smoothly as possible
  • Experience with till Reconciliation
  • You can ensure high standards of personal performance, hygiene, appearance and cleanliness at all times
  • You can communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient, caring and friendly service to customers and clients in all areas of service, which Sodexo provide.
  • You will participate in any necessary training and team meetings as required to complete job responsibilities to the Company’s and Client’s standards e.g. health & safety, food hygiene.
  • You can work as a team to promote harmonious working relationships within the Sodexo team
  • Experience with reporting customer complaints or compliments and taking some remedial action if at all possible.
  • You will report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such or advice as may be appropriate.
  • You can comply with all rules and regulations

Package Description

  • 35 – 40-hours per week
  • £16 per hour plus a share of the service charge 
  • Ready for immediate start
