Asa Stores Person at ATR Winchester Junior Barracks Winchester, Hampshire, S022 6NQ, You're role is pivotal to us delivering the best possible service for our colleagues and clients. This key role keeps the day to day operation clock ticking,and your importance to our facilities management is essential!
What you'll do:
- You’ll be assisting with accepting deliveries, moving stock and ensuring all compliance paperwork is kept up to date
- Monitor and control the flow of goods into and out of warehouses and other storage facilities
- Resolving discrepancies in the delivery of goods
- Liaise with suppliers and handle queries relating to delivery and stock discrepancies
- Update inventory management systems
- Carry out regular stock takes
To telephone suppliers with orders on allocated delivery days.
To check that orders correspond with deliveries.
To ensure that all fresh and frozen deliveries are stored correctly within the allotted time to prevent de-frosting or spoiling.
To check temperatures of fresh and frozen deliveries and populate the relevant safety management documentation
To stock fridges, freezers and storerooms in a tidy and presentable manner enforcing correct stock rotation.
To make sure that no stock held within their areas is out of date.
To ensure correct security of the storage areas and that they are not left open and unattended.
To ensure cleanliness of the storage rooms and fridges in their working areas.
To communicate with the mess manager and kitchen staff to make sure production schedules are achieved.
To attend any team briefs and huddles as directed by the kitchen management
What you bring:
- IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
- Must have a good understanding of numeracy.
- Must have a good understanding of IT.
- Must be able to work within a team environment.
- Physically fit as there is a lot of manual handling within this role.
- Excellent organisational skills
Desirable
- Proven track record of working within stores.
- Pay as you Dine experience within the military.
Experience working in a similar inventory or stock control role
