  • 07:00 - 15:00 or 10:00 - 18:00 or 12:00 - 20:00 
  • £12.36 - £22.61 per hour + any enhancements 
  • Blue light card

Job Introduction

We’re looking for a dedicated team member to support the delivery of top-quality Sterile Services at Hereford Hospital NHS Trust. In this important role, you’ll help ensure the smooth running of clinical activities by maintaining excellent working relationships with all staff groups. Your contribution will be key to providing a safe and efficient environment that supports the health and care of patients across the hospital.  What you’ll do:

  • Process and pack medical instruments quickly and accurately, following correct manual handling techniques and using PPE when exposed to bodily fluids.
  • Maintain intense concentration when packing trays, checking instruments, and operating machinery.
  • Receive, store, and supply consumables internally and externally, providing ward/department top-up services for sterile items.
  • Use and develop the T-DOC instrument tracking system for accurate input, tracking, barcoding, and traceability of equipment.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, report defective equipment, and carry out daily maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the team, comply with company policies, and support the overall development and smooth running of the service.
