Space Planner

Job Introduction

Sodexo UK & Ireland have a new opportunity for a Space Planner to join the team based at our client site, a multinational leading employer in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.

You’ll be managing the floor space across two large sites, ensuring our new starters and existing teams have allocated space whilst managing the requirements of our client and maximising use of the buildings. You’ll provide solutions to address space challenges in line with budgetary restraints and overall plans. This role has the potential to develop to be involved in larger projects and provide overall helpdesk management.

Role Responsibility

  • Coordinates and performs space planning for two sites
  • Coordinate the development of space plans to accommodate staffing and other business requirements. Present and negotiate with business units to implement plans aligned with corporate guidelines, including scenarios to maximize use of space while meeting business requirements
  • Support in the management of existing occupancy and develop occupancy analysis reporting to effectively communicate occupancy/vacancy ratios, headcount projections and workplace conditions.
  • To develop, administer and manage any moves whilst ensuring that services requests are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Manages relocations including the development and execution of project planning activities, timing of group moves/relocations, migration and phasing plans, stack and block plans, test-fits and final relocations. Responsible for coordinating and successfully delivering projects with minimum negative impact to employees or business operations.
  • Coordinates with clients and planning team to identify equipment requirements and support area furniture needs.
  • Participates in the development & integration of space management tools & processes to improve operational efficiencies.

Essential skills and experience

  • A good eye for detail and able to read and interpret building maps and plans
  • Advanced computer skills including Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Independent, organized, creative, and possess strong analytical skills to perform trending analysis.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively and influence a wide range of stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered.
  • Excellent Relationship management skills with the ability to set, manage and deliver customer expectations and effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences.
