Sous Chef

Job Introduction

Sous Chef - 100 Victoria embankment.Blackfriars.
Hours- 40 Hours per week

Shift Patterns- Monday-Friday
Rate Of Pay- £19.23 plus Sodexo benefits

About The Role:

Weare seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety ofdishes to the highest standards, in line with Sodexo and Unileverrequirements.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a range of dishes, ensuring quality and consistency at all times.
  • Receive training on major software used by Sodexo.
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, and served correctly.
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques to maintain consistent quality.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels, organise and conduct weekly checks on all storage areas to ensure efficiency and cost control.
  • Adhere to all HACCP regulations and ensure the kitchen team applies these rules daily.
  • Provide excellent customer service when required.
  • Lead the kitchen team with positivity and inclusivity.
  • Record food waste and introduce new initiatives to reduce it.
     

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
