Job Introduction
Solution Architect
As a Solution Architect at Sodexo, you'll be a pivotal part of a new architecture practice, introducing positive change across the Sodexo IT estate - a large, complex environment that includes a range of systems across the various industries Sodexo operates in. As well as hands-on architecture work, you'll be able to help us define the best practices and strategy for the function as it grows with the wider IS&T department. You will enjoy fantastic exposure to projects across all areas of the Sodexo organisation, from Government & Public Sector and Education, to Health & Care, Corporate Services and our Sodexo Live! Events business, with a range of large-scale transformations as well as smaller projects to deliver individual solutions.
What you’ll do:
• Work with senior stakeholders and colleagues to develop solutions to meet the Sodexo business requirements
• Define the end-to-end architecture, collaborating with others to implement, test and operate the proposed architecture
• Identify and evaluate suitable technologies and services to help us deliver the best solutions to our customers
• Create HLD and LLD documentation covering the overall structure and strategy of solutions down to the specific components and technologies involved
• Contribute to the Architecture Community of Practice and support the function with innovative thinking and techniques to help develop our technology plans and roadmaps
What you bring:
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect working in a cross-functional Architecture team across a range of projects
• Strong experience of third party system integrations (we tend to purchase systems rather than build them ourselves)
• Deep knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, ideally with experience with Microsoft Azure cloud
• Fantastic stakeholder management and communication skills to work with various technical and non-technical colleagues, partners and customers
• A passion for continuous improvement and using new, emerging technology to improve our business and services
