Soft Services Duty Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Soft Services Duty Manager to join our team supporting Sodexo. This is a key operational role responsible for the effective delivery of a diverse range of Facilities Management soft services. Working closely with the Soft Services Lead, you will ensure service excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across your area of responsibility.

You will oversee day-to-day service delivery, lead and motivate a team of FM professionals, and act as a key point of contact for the client, ensuring that all services are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with contractual and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Operations

Lead, mentor, and develop your on-site Sodexo team to drive safety, service quality, and operational performance.

Oversee daily service delivery across your assigned area, ensuring performance meets Sodexo and AstraZeneca standards.
Promote continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and innovation across service lines.
Support the implementation of transformational initiatives and LEAN practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
Ensure robust performance management, setting clear KPIs and driving accountability within your team.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management

Build strong, collaborative relationships with AstraZeneca stakeholders to understand their evolving needs.
Act as a key escalation point for service issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Collaborate with Sodexo peers and support functions to deliver consistent, high-quality services.

  • Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure all operations fully comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
Uphold compliance with pharmaceutical (GxP) requirements, maintaining audit readiness at all times.
Create a culture of safety and accountability within your teams.
Support or lead internal and external audits, ensuring action plans are implemented where required.

  • Continuous Improvement & Development

Champion innovation and efficiency, encouraging your team to contribute ideas for improvement.
Work closely with colleagues to support the delivery of site-wide improvement and development initiatives.
Foster a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and professional growth.


About You

We’re looking for an experienced FM professional with a passion for leadership and operational excellence. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience managing soft services in a complex or GxP-regulated environment.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on developing and motivating teams.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all business levels.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement and implementing LEAN methodologies.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and change management.

  • A strong understanding of compliance, safety, and quality standards.
