Corporate Social Responsibility Lead
Job Introduction
Do you have good experience within Social Impact together with a passion for influencing within it? We are looking to recruit a Social Impact Lead to plan & manage Social Impact initiatives across Sodexo Test Centre site network. In line with internal policy and client agreements, you will provide accurate and timely management information to agreed formats and deadlines.
This is a unique exciting opportunity dedicated to Test Centres in response to the pandemic where you can really make a difference:
- Plan and implement Social Value priorities and commitments agreed collaboratively with DHSC.
- Collaborate with the Test Centre Senior Management Team (SMT) for this contract, and ensure initiatives are co-ordinated across the site network.
- Advise on the design and delivery of the social value plan and how it will be achieved
- Develop relationships with voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) organisations and other community groups as we deploy into local areas.

Role Responsibility
- Develop and implement a Social Value Initiative plan in line with company and client requirements.
- Support Test Centre teams to implement planned social value initiatives (including work placements, apprenticeships, educational events, careers events, community initiatives, supply chain engagement and support) and objectives are met within required timeframes.
- Develop, cultivate and maintain a culture whereby project teams self-deliver requirements with strategic support from transversal and functional teams
- Increase the knowledge and capability of project-based staff to deliver social value
- Working with project teams and key partners to deliver agreed social value KPI’s for each project.
- Engaging with local communities to understand local needs and deliver Sodexo’s social value commitments
- Assess the potential impact of works on communities – social and economic – and developing strategies to mitigate negative impacts and enhance benefits.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and functions i.e. Procurement, HR,etc to support Social Value initiatives
- Implement and utilise Social Value Platform “SEA”, to reflect the national Themes, Outcomes and Measures (TOMs) in the Social Value Measurement Framework and monitor, track and report on our activities.
- Support projects in recording, reporting and achieving social value targets
- Monitor and review social value data to ensure accuracy and performance improvement
- Provide Monthly Social Value Report to Test Centre Senior Management Team including achievements, trend analysis, investigate challenges
- Provide a quarterly report to DHSC detailing the initiatives plus the progress, challenges and achievements to date.
- Meet client, stakeholder, legislative, other third party and internal requirements on social value requirements
- Advise the commercial team on securing supply chain involvement
- Identify and liaise with relevant partner organisations, such as local schools, charities, employment and skills agencies
- Monitor and review social value data to ensure accuracy and performance improvement
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold a graduate level qualification
- Experience of delivering social value projects and meeting project targets
- Previous experience of leading Social Value initiatives
- Ability to communicate effectively to other people across all levels and organisations.
- Experience influencing performance at peer level
- Ability to operate with multiple reporting lines.
