Job Introduction

Service Support Team Lead

As a Service Support Team Lead with Sodexo, you'll manage our IT Support team that keeps our business running. Your role is crucial in ensuring user incidents and queries are dealt with effectively and efficiently, and your experience with ITIL standards will help to further develop our high-performance culture. You'll enjoy a wide exposure to different types of IT system and technology across the Sodexo estate, managing major incidents in collaboration with our wider service team.

What you’ll do:
  • Provide an excellent, customer-focussed service to the Sodexo UK&I business
  • Lead the IT Service Desk team, collaborating with other Support Team Leaders to ensure staff availability to cover incidents via phones and tickets as well as take on proactive or project-based support work
  • Guide team members to better understand and commit to ITIL standards and adhere to our Service Level Agreements and metrics targets
  • Continually improve the efficiency and productivity of the team through information from calls and problem management systems
  • Take a proactive role in responding to and resolving major incidents and critical issues
 
What you bring:
  • Experience of team management in an IT environment, helping develop colleagues' skills through setting SMART goals in a high-performance culture
  • Proven understanding of ITIL standards, ideally with foundation level certification or above
  • Experience working in a service desk in an enterprise environment, supporting complex major incidents
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, dealing with colleagues in a polite, understanding manner even in stressful situations
