Service Coordinator
Job Introduction
We have created a new interesting role at one of our leading hospital sites in South London. As the Patient Dining & Catering Coordinator you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality patient focussed service across the site to meet the needs of a variety of service users. You’ll be leading and mentoring a close-knit team of 7. This customer focussed essential role will be a great challenge for someone that prides themselves on excellent customer service and enjoys variety.

Role Responsibility
- To assist the General Manager to deliver budgeted profit and turnover for the service
- Responsible for ensuring the Patient dining team comply with all Company and Trust policies
- Oversee for compliance on food and H&S legislation
- Responsible for the area ensuring that stock levels, wastage and labour are effectively managed
- Accountable for the recruitment and management of direct reports.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are understood and delivered across the site.
- Contribute to discussions with the General Manager regarding sharing ideas and best practice to improve site performance.
- Ensuring accuracy of operations to include overview of deliveries to site, appropriate storage of all goods to prevent substitutions to patient meals and to allow for accurate stock taking to occur
- Deployment of the ward issues process to ensure all wards receive stores in a timely manner to agreed levels
- Utilisation of Saffron to ensure all orders are accurately picked and all additional items are recorded to ensure an accurate consumption level is able to be tracked
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience of leading a team within a service environment
- Online menu ordering experience
- Background in managing operations within a catering service
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and line manager
- Experience of delivering relevant training, using company guidelines
- Understanding of relevant Health & Safety, Employment and other legislative requirements
- Experience of implementation and adherence to HACCP
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to standards
- Proven IT skills
- Ability to deal with stressful situations with a flexible approach to the role
- Analyse problems, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions

£25,000 - £27,000 per annum plus excellent benefits available
