Senior Graphic Designer (Food)
Job Introduction
We are looking for an ambitious, creative and innovative experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our close-knit team here at Sodexo, in a home-based role. This is an exciting new role and will suit someone with excellent communication skills and a real creative flair. As part of our Sales & Marketing Creative Hub, you will act as a point of contact for all artwork briefs from Brand Management within Food Platform. You will be responsible for leading design solutions within Food Platform of a high standard and high visual impact whilst developing creative ideas and concepts. You will also be responsible for the graphic design of promotional marketing materials for Sodexo’s restaurants, retail and hot beverage offers.
Role Responsibility
- Analysing and comparing past campaigns and artwork with internal data to determine the success and impact to help predict future trends.
- Utilising feedback and understanding its importance in ensuring high standards of artwork which meets the client’s needs.
- Building a strong relationship with key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Understanding the target audience for each piece of artwork produced and conducting research to maintain design integrity and to be able to offer best in class/high street equivalent quality design materials, which convey a clear and simple message.
- Ability to input to promotional planning and come to an agreement to a range of creative briefs and themes.
- Managing the sourcing of photos and images to support creative designs through image libraries and liaising with suppliers for product images.
- Delivering the production of projects assigned and responsible to see that these files are spec’d to print standards and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner in a deadline-driven environment.
- Performing additional duties or projects as assigned, including special projects and initiatives, as well as assisting wider team members.
- Estimate the time required to complete the work given and liaising with management to ensure the overall timescales for the project are met.
- Present finalised ideas and concepts to the business.
- Ability to demonstrate appreciation of diverse thoughts and perspectives, whilst encouraging and accepting feedback and conflicting opinions.
- Establish and maintain a professional rapport with external suppliers.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong graphic design experience ideally with FMCG and retail experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills, confident in presenting to senior teams.
- Must be proficient working on a MAC and Microsoft platforms.
- Good project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong understanding of branding and brand development, with the ability to adapt styles to meet different brand requirements for Sodexo and/or third party high street brands/products.
- Knowledge of print production and technology from file preparation, pre-press and proofing.
- Understanding of latest high street consuming trends and their impact in a commercial environment.
- Skilled in using a variety of industry standard packages including: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Experience of working in a corporate/business focused environments.
- Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs.
- Time management skills and ability to cope with several projects at a time.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to designs.
- Ability to give constructive feedback to others in the team.
- Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas into the business.
- Experience of new media, including adapting artwork for use on digital displays and Social Media.
Package Description
£40,000 - £45,000 + bonus and great benefits
Location: Remote with travel to Salford or Swindon as required
Permanent
Work Pattern – 40hrs pw Monday to Friday
