Senior Forensic Psychologist
Job Introduction
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within HMP Lowdham Grange to join our prisons Psychology team as a Senior Forensic Psychologist.
As the Senior Forensic Psychologist, you will work closely with the Head of Psychology to develop and promote the psychological services within the Prison and work collaboratively with the Psychology team and external stakeholders.
You will be the direct line manager of a team of Forensic Psychologists and Forensic Psychologists-in-Training and will support staff with their caseloads, whilst also maintaining direct contact with prisoners with complex needs including personality disorders, and serious offending histories.
We envisage that candidates with who have worked in a Senior Forensic Psychologist position will have the relevant skills and knowledge for this position. However, this is an approximate guide for applicants and candidates who have worked in a Forensic Psychologist position who are looking to make the next step in their careers will also be considered.

Role Responsibility

The Ideal Candidate
- You will need to be an HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist
- Experience of working in secure settings
- Knowledge of psychological theory in working with individuals with personality disorders, histories of violence, psychopathic traits and learning disabilities.
- You will be conducting assessments and supervising others which will require practice in the administration and interpretation of psychological assessments.
- Experience of achieving Key Performance Targets
Package Description
£50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus benefits
