Job Title: Senior Credit Controller
Location: Prestige Support Centre, Epsom, Surrey

Salary: Up to £28,000 dependent on experience
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday (2 x days home based).
The role is regional based and includes national travel.

Reporting to the Credit Control Manger your role will include:

The role of Senior Credit Controller is to ensure all debt is collected in line with our credit terms; resolve all customer queries in a timely manner; advise branch managers and Finance Director if service should be put on stop; follow debt collection procedures for overdue accounts.

You will be required to provide accurate and efficient support for the Credit Control Manager, assist with credit control queries and ledger reporting. The Senior Credit Controller will also be responsible for all aspects of sales ledger and credit control duties for a given group of accounts. This is to be done following the Company’s Credit Control Procedures.

The success of this role will be measured by;

  • Reduction in Overdue debt
  • Maintain DSO below 36 days
  • Streamlining processes
  • Improve debt reporting
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders

i.e. The role will also build key internal and external customer relationships and have an extensive knowledge of current market conditions and trends.

The role is regional based and includes national travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Covering and assisting the Credit Control Manager when needed.
  • Resolving queries in a timely manner
  • Providing assistance in monitoring the Teams progress and aged debt
  • Accounts are chased in a timely and regular manner.
  • Ensuring payments are chased for all debts over 30 days
  • Advise clients and Branch Manager of suspension of service.
  • To reconcile accounts when necessary
  • Liaise with branch on queries raised and resolved in a timely manner
  • To escalate up to line manager where necessary on an account
  • Creating new accounts in Access & correcting templates for pay run
  • General credit control and ad hoc duties

General Responsibilities:

  • Occasionally support with the day-to-day responsibilities of the team when required
  • Be a champion for internal customer service
  • Do any other reasonable things the business requires

Key Factors to success:

  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Over 2 years Credit Control experience
  • Health care experience preferred but not essential
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Work accurately within agreed timescales
  • Demonstrate high degree of confidentiality
  • DSO below 36 day

Skills and qualifications we're looking for:

  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ideally studying for professional credit control qualification
  • A degree from a recognised university preferred but not necessar
  • Team player
  • Should be committed to assisting the Credit Control Manger, queries and credit control
  • Understand the need for confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and branch managers
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work on own initiative - self-starter, must be able to prioritise tasks and manage time
  • Possess excellent administration skills
  • Have a positive can do attitude
