Senior Communications Manager (Employee & Change)

Job Introduction

We’re looking for an ambitious communications professional to join our award winning team as a Senior Communications Manager (Employee & Change).
 
In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to key initiatives that enable our company ambition and drive regional strategy forward. You will be a trusted partner to key stakeholders, working alongside leaders to develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies and plans. Your creative flair and ability to navigate evolving communications landscapes will enable you to craft compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences. On change communications, you will play a key role as a strategic communications advisor for transformation and change. You’ll have the opportunity to often deputise for the Employee & Change Communications Director across a range of management activities.
 
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate confidence and exhibit respectful assertiveness. You will also have the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
 
This is an exciting role as a strategic partner within a socially responsible and diverse organisation.
 
This role requires weekly office visit to our Salford office

What you’ll do:
  • Partner with the key business functions, providing strategic communication support for transformation programs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications plans, tailored to each area's objectives.
  • Lead the Spirit of Sodexo Awards, overseeing a team, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver a memorable event within budget and on schedule.
  • Drive continuous improvement by forecasting and planning for future events in 2024 and 2025.
  • Design and implement change communication plans for regional business change projects, utilising both internal resources and agency support.
  • Collaborate with the Employee & Change Communications Director to plan and execute campaigns, aligning with the broader Brand & Communications function.
  • Take shared responsibility for editorial sign-off on content for designated regional channels, ensuring high-quality and impactful messaging.
 
What you bring:
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting engaging content.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategic communication plans, fostering strong partnerships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Creative flair to develop innovative communication approaches, keeping pace with evolving audience expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills.

What we offer: 

£45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent benefits package
