Senior Commercial Pricing Analyst

Job Introduction

We have an opportunity to join our Global Business Development community as a Senior Commercial Pricing Analyst. You’ll be an advanced Microsoft Excel user with skills using VBA, Power Query, DAX, PowerPivot to develop and model financial proposals and solutions for our clients and prospective clients. With a commercial mindset, you’ll bring innovation and creative solutions to enable successful outcomes within a fast paced and ever changing environment.

You’ll be part of a global team so the ability to communicate and build strong relationships across different time zones with different cultures will be critical to your success.

This position will be homebased but there will be a requirement for some travel nationally once it is safe to do so.

Role Responsibility

  • Work closely with the Sales, Operations, Commercial functions to review, understand and develop financial proposals which reflect customer requirements whilst identifying the most competitive pricing, with alternatives.
  • Take the lead on developing and producing complex financial models and assumptions which bring together the RFP, proposed operational solution, commercial and financial aspects of the bid whilst providing detailed granularity of the price build up.
  • Build a suite of best practice solutions which drive efficiency and consistency of the pricing process, from RFP, through submission of internal approval documentation including lifetime P&L’s and in the client return.
  • Providing sensitivity and scenario analysis to enable the team to make decisions.
  • Support the Business Development team in defining the solution architecture for each bid opportunity and challenge proposed solutions.
  • Become a subject matter expert in deal pricing and work with colleagues globally to share ideas and drive continuous improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with the internal governance process and all submissions to clients reflect the internal approval.

The Ideal Candidate

What’s essential:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with VBA highly desirable; Strong experience in Power Query, DAX, PowerPivot, experience with PowerBI highly desirable
  • Brilliant time management/well organised and the ability to prioritise and reprioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex information and concepts verbally, in writing and using visual presentation
  • Able to engage stakeholders and adapt style to build relationships across all countries and cultures
  • Documentation skills to ensure clear audit trail (inputs, calculations, outputs), even where the process was complex, ensures any ad hoc modelling is similarly clear
  • Excellent commercial acumen, the ability to challenge with humility and exceptional attention to detail

Where we can be flexible:

  • Experience of working within a facilities management pricing team
  • Degree Educated in Finance or similar analytical area
  • ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
