Senior Cleaning Supervisor
Job Introduction
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Cleaning Supervisor to support the day to day running of a single site campus in the Deeside area. This is a functional management role which requires the job holder to fulfil key tasks and achieve minimum standards, whilst working as part of a team.
Role Responsibility
- To plan, organise and co-ordinate a team of 22 cleaners across the site, to ensure standards of service are achieved and maintained
- Continually monitor all cleaning standards, to ensure that they are to the required client and Sodexo satisfaction
- Monitor all hygiene standards, to ensure they are maintained to the required client and Sodexo satisfaction as outlined by Safeguard
- Monitor financial performance (e.g. supply chain, sales, labour, expenses, internal issues) to ensure that the pre-set budget figures are maintained and, when variances do occur, to provide written explanation of these costs, and to implement action plans for correction
- Undertake development plans for both heavy and light equipment to ensure pre-planned phased purchasing.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced business manager who has operated in a multi-disciplined environment
- Direct management experience of Cleaning
- Strong level of literacy and numeracy
- Experience of managing an overall budget with diverse functional components (i.e. cleaning, etc.)
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to set high standards, achievable through striving for continuous improvement
- Ability to act on own initiative
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible approach to the role
Desirable
- Relevant higher level qualification in functional specialities (i.e catering, facilities management)
- Direct management experience of cleaning, housekeeping or general facilities management
- Able to successfully implement changes
Package Description
Working 30 hours per week.
The working shifts are:
Monday - Thursday 2.30pm - 8.30pm
Friday 2.30pm - 8.00pm.
