Senior Bid Manager

Location: Ireland - Home Based with travel during peak periods for internal meetings

Sodexo are currently recruiting for a Senior Bid Manager to join our established Ireland and UK Sales team. 

 In this role you will own and co-ordinate the bid process starting with pre-engagement activities through to prequalification, tender and bid outcome.

Working with the Sales team to assemble a bid team with relevant client/service/product knowledge required to win the opportunity.

Leading the strategic development of bids with a detailed focus on client requirements, you will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure collaboration and inclusion when developing winning outcomes. 

This position offers a hybrid working approach with some on site working required during peak periods at our central Dublin office. Peaks may require onsite working with our bid teams for up to 3 days in a week. As well as occasional travel for internal/external meetings.

About You

To be considered for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas: 

• Proven & relevant experience in bid management 
• Certified to APMP Foundation level or higher (desirable)
• Tenacity, drive and strength of personality. 
• Ability to communicate with multi-level stakeholders
• Adaptive, flexible and a team player with strong management and resilience with ability to adapt styles to audience and outcomes
• Creative and articulate with passion for bid production and market leading outcomes
• Excellent written English skills with the ability to articulate ideas both succinctly and in a way that is exciting for a client to read (operational, strategic and procurement etc)
• Excellent customer services acumen/emotional/social intelligence 
• A desire to innovate and be entrepreneurial in spirit whilst delivering the task in hand
• Project management acumen/experience
• Capable of working strategically whilst managing multiple inputs
• Relevant IFM experience in one or more of the following (Sodexo will bid Food, Soft FM, and Hard FM). 
• Advanced MS Word, MS Teams and MS PowerPoint skills

Desirable Experience 

• Winning Sales experience (e.g. Bid Manager, Bid Writer, Solution Manager BDM BDD etc.) 
• Experience in our target client sectors (Media / Tech / Finance / Prof Services / Engineering / FMCG etc.)
• Useful and relevant qualifications / accreditations / affiliations 
• Experience of using technology to deliver bid solutions (AI, chatGPT etc)
