Segment Deployment Manager (Business Liaison Manager)

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Deployment Manager (Business Liaison Manager) to work within Service Operations and our Education business. This is a 12month FTC to cover mat leave. You will effectively deploy the Supply Management strategies (as defined  by the Segment/Platform engagement process) within the business segment, these include but are not limited to cleaning, catering, mailroom, reception, Hard FM. You will provide a point of segment reference within any change projects led by Supply Management. As well as working closely within the Supply chain team to resolve key issues and challenges in the Schools and Universities business pillar.

Service Operations is the part of our business that supports segment development by providing expertise and process standardisation across all segments. Service Operations leverages our global expertise and best practice to bring the best of Sodexo to all of our clients. It includes everything from FM expertise to food development through to bid support, health and safety, and contract design and management.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Support and embed supply chain changes as required, driving standardization and efficiency through the organisation.
  • Compile detailed business case’s to support requests from the business to the Service Operations teams for new vendors at a tactical level to deliver services at site.
  • Work in conjunction with Mobilisation Project Managers and SME’s to ensure all information from due diligence visits is captured and actioned resulting in a successful and seem less new unit opening.
  • Ensure the appropriate supply chains are in place to support mobilisations and on-going business growth
  • Integrate with business segments at all levels – Exec Team, Operational Directors, Account Directors and managers.
  • Manage Purchasing Compliance and analytical reporting for the Business and Contract Optimisation team
  • Communicate any new buying/vendor/product changes to the business as required.
  • Manage specific projects as identified by teams within Service Operations and Segment Business Partners.
  • Escalation contact for Supply issues that need resolving as required.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • A financial awareness and ability to analyse data and make appropriate recommendations to improve gross margins and sales
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels across the organisation.
  • Be able to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the business.
  • To be aware and be able to articulate the understanding of the commercial impact of the varying business models in the organisation.
  • A strong ability to influence effectively at all levels, especially in regards to company policies and processes.
  • Be organised, methodical and self-motivated whilst having an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • To be able to demonstrate a flexible ability to pre determine work load demand and prioritisation skills, to be able to identify the urgent business need for support.
  • Driving license with ability to travel within the UK to sites within the Education segment
