Role Responsibility

As a Security Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising a team of Security Personnel
  • Use of IT systems for access control, site patrolling, emergency response, cash collection, report generating, incident investigation and all other standard security duties

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

  • A SIA Licence
  • Solid experience in a similar environment
  • Excellent communication skills and be computer literate
  • The ability to work on your own initiative coordinating the shift, being thorough and accurate in all documentation

An opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer/Weighbridge Operative to work within our Unilever Port Sunlight Campus and Unilever Research and Development.

 

This position requires a proactive customer focused individual with an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels.

 

This person needs to be a forward thinker with a methodical approach, exceptional planning and excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to cope when being challenged.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Health and Safety

 

Making sure all site Health and Safety Procedures are followed

Complete incident reports and follow the correct process for communicating them.

Report all safety issues to the admin support officer.

 

General Responsibilities

 

  • Enforcement of the site rules and standards including Housekeeping, Security and Health & Safety to visitors and occupants.
  • Provide extremely high levels of customer service to contractors, visitors and occupants of the site
  • Provide operational cover as and when required to support the security team on site:
    • Access control (Visitors/Contractors/Deliveries)
    • Carry out Stop and Search, (Vehicle/Personnel)
    • CCTV Monitoring.
    • CCTV routine operations.
    • Checking materials leaving site is correctly authorised.
    • Operation of site weighbridge and tracking systems
    • Control entry to site vehicles and pedestrians
    • Emergency Rules followed in accordance to the security function
    • Investigate incidents such as accidents. Thefts etc and send reports to the Security Manager
    • Inspection of fence line and general site surroundings on a regular basis
    • Lone workers monitored.
    • Maintenance of records and log books
    • Monitoring of site plant, intruder & fire alarms.
    • Operation of site communications equipment.
    • Opening and monitoring of all gates.
    • Police liaison.
    • Site Patrolling and reporting.
    • Unlock and lock of ad hoc areas when requested.
    • Use of fire extinguishers when required.

       

       

      Other Duties

       

  • Complete and disseminate Assignment Instructions /Standard Operating and Emergency Procedures reviews and updates
  • Complete Manning levels sheets and general roster management
  • First Aid Stock Checks and replenishment
  • Training
    • H&S
    • Fire Marshall
    • Secure Bronze, Silver, Gold
  • Ordering of Uniforms & PPE as and when required
  • Attend Weekly Meetings and take the lead in the Security Managers Absence
  • Attend site Meetings, complete and circulate minutes
  • Payroll
  • Conduct AEOS system diagnostics
  • Complete AEOS Change Requests
  • General Communications
  • Produce and distribute Security Newsletters
  • Complete Ariba orders for Unilever purchased supplies
  • Cross department HR Responsibilities
    • Conduct Return to Work Interviews
    • Investigations
    • Disciplinaries
  • Central Point of contact for client base and senior management/dissemination of instructions to wider team
