Security Supervisor

Job Introduction

As a Security Supervisor at Sodexo at Royal Stoke University Hospital, you'll be responsible for designated assigned sites, to ensure standards of service detailed in the service level agreement, KPIs and within the schedules of the contractual terms and conditions are achieved, maintained, and developed through effective supervision of the service line. Every day is unique, and the things you do will have a significant impact on it. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. What you’ll do: 

  • Carry out safety walks, conversation and to supervise Safety standards, across area of responsibility thereby ensuring that our people and customers are always kept safe whilst ensuring the site folder is up to date with all new and relevant policies. 
  • Deliver all mandatory training within a given timeline and support with additional training needs to the front-line teams.  
  • Ensure effective force management that we have full coverage whilst monitoring attendance / absence and following policy and procedures around triggers and absence management. 
  • Ensure staff records are accurately maintained and HR issues are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with Legislation and Company policy.  
  • Liaising with control room team with resourcing planned activities, reactive and ad hoc requests.  
  • Act as a first point of contact to address any issues that arise on site, from client or customer in a timely manner. 
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks and/or instructions as directed by line manager. 
What you bring: 
  • SIA Licence holder (Door supervisor and CCTV)
  • 3 - 5 years experience within the security industry and as a supervisor
  • Have a sound knowledge of the Quality Management Systems (Security)
  • Able to use computerised systems in operation within the security sector
  • Good understanding of the CCTV, fire and security systems
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative, individually and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality and data protection issues
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards

  • To be able to write accurate, legible operational logs, security reports and statements.

  • Average 38.5 hours per week
  • 06.00-18.00 / 18.00-06.00 Rota
  • Must hold SIA Door Supervisor licence
