About the role

You'll carry out patrols, operate the security/CCTV, assisting police and management during investigations and write reports detailing incidents.

A few things about you

This is a customer facing role, so experience would be key. We need somebody with awareness and good verbal and written communication skills.

As Security Officer, you must hold an SIA front-line DS licence and have experience working in a similar role. If you hold an SIA CCTV licence great! If not, we still want to hear from you, course and licence can be provided.

As Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do, there will be compliance procedures, site specific guidelines and regulations to follow so it is vital that you manage and maintain all site records and incident reporting. 

Role Responsibility

This role is a reception customer facing role whilst providing security assistance to the building.

Security Officer

These 2 positions will be required to cover the Receptionist in a security function during times of holidays and absence.

Assist with site emergencies and emergency site plan

Meet and greet customers and staff on daily business

Provide a Security presence for flagship building in Southampton

Create Visitor and contractor badges

Complete site inductions, building tours and assist with ground floor function room set ups

Central Southampton site customer facing role

Monday to Friday, 35hrs per week, 2 permanent shifts available, 06:00-13:30 or 11:30-19:00

Opportunity for weekend Overtime
