Role Responsibility

As a Security Officer you could be responsible for:

• Ad-hoc support for our security operations
• Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure
• Patrolling, securing and monitoring premises, sometimes with the aid of closed circuit television (CCTV)
• Supervising the door for a large organisation
• Guarding cash or other valuables in transit in a security vehicle
• Driving vehicles as and when required
• Health and Safety and Evacuation procedures

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

• A full current driving licence
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent awareness skills
• Experience in working in a similar role
• A SIA Licence holder – Manned Guarding Licence, SIA Licence holder – CCTV desirable
• Knowledge of security techniques
• Knowledge of site and local emergency procedures

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sodexo are currently seeking to recruit a SECURITY OFFICER to work 48 hours per week, on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern, based at Catalent Pharma Solutions, Swindon.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Security Officer you will be responsible for a wide varied remit, including but not limited to:

• Ad-hoc support for the on-site Security operations.
• Ensuring buildings, valuables, staff, and visitors are safe & secure.
• To enforce the on-site Health & Safety guidelines.
• Complete incident reports and raise SOS’s using the Client’s system to report H&S issues.
• Single point of contact during out of hours.
• Respond & action all alarms following the correct procedures & guidelines.
• Routine administration associated with this wide and varied role.
• CCTV monitoring.

THE JOB

Working on a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off consisting of two 12 hour day shifts 07:00-19:00 followed by two 12 hour night shifts 19:00-07:00. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible and expected to change shifts or work periods of overtime when required to provide holiday and sickness cover within the Security team. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £9.75 per hour, with overtime paid at a rate of £11.54 per hour.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate would

• Hold a current & in date SIA license
• Hold a full current driving license
• Proven previous experience in a similar role
• Have flexibility in order to provide cover when required.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Possess excellent awareness skills; have an attention for detail and a strong work ethic
• Be a reliable team member
• Be well presented with a high standard of personal hygiene
