Security Officer

Job Introduction

Sodexo Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join our team at Flotta. This role has a 2 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation and will alternate between day and night shifts.

This role is best suited to local candidates based in Orkney.

Role Responsibility

• Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems

• To log and transfer telephone calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff

• Control of the key cabinet and issuing of keys

• Control entry onto the Oil Terminal

• Conducting Security Inductions where required

• Conducting search of visitors and their baggage

• To carry out regular security patrols throughout the shift

• Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure

• Compile accurate incident reports where appropriate or requested

• Co-ordinating site muster/evacuation procedures

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

Desirable

• A Security Industry Authority granted licence
• Experience in working in a similar role
• Knowledge of security techniques
• Knowledge of site and local emergency procedures
• Experience in firefighting/ emergency response
