Security Officer

Role Responsibility
As a Security Officer you could be responsible for:
- Ad-hoc support for our security operations
- Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure
- Patrolling, securing and monitoring premises, sometimes with the aid of closed circuit television (CCTV)
- Supervising the door for a large organisation
- Guarding cash or other valuables in transit in a security vehicle
- Driving vehicles as and when required
- Health and Safety and Evacuation procedures
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- A full current driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent awareness skills
- Experience in working in a similar role
- A SIA Licence holder – Manned Guarding Licence, SIA Licence holder – CCTV desirable
- Knowledge of security techniques
- Knowledge of site and local emergency procedures

Security Position
We are looking for a flexible and well-presented Security Officer to join our team in Hitchin.
0 Hours contract available with Weekend, Holiday & Sickness cover
Enhanced rate of pay for Weekends/Bank Holidays
SIA licence is essential and experience preferred
Full training will be given on all site procedures
Corporate office security needed to cover holidays & sickness, specific duties are:
Lock up of client building on an evening, secure all windows and set alarms
Monitor reception emails, take reception calls for policy holders
Maintain high security by ensuring all staff are displaying valid security passes
Complete Audits of all keys, passes etc.
Monitor CCTV around the site
Sign in visitors/contractors to site and issue relevant passes
Potentially developing into a permanent position after 3 month probation period
