JobIntroduction:

As a Security Officer at HMPPS Newbold, Rugby, CV23 OTH , you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the safety andsecurity of both the building and the people inside. Your presence willcontribute to a safer environment and positively impact the lives of those youencounter.

What You’ll Do:

Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for all building users.
Monitor CCTV, Access Control, and other security systems to detect and prevent security threats.
Act as the first line of response to security incidents, system activations, and fault reports.
Handle calls, relay messages, and provide clear guidance to staff and visitors.
Conduct regular security patrols to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.

What You Bring:

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities.
Must be 18 or older and hold a valid SIA License.
Excellent communication and situational awareness.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
Due to the nature of the site, a full DBS clearance is required.
