Security Officer
Job Introduction

As a Security Officer, working at Royal Stoke University Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors as well as the hospital facilities and no two days are the same. What you’ll do:
- Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols
- Monitoring of state-of-the-art CCTV system, Access Control, and other protective systems
- Act as a first-line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting
- Monitor control room including, handling and directing to the relevant person, provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors, and staff
- Communication skills both verbal and written must be of a good standard as report writing and liaising with professional bodies is required.
- Carry out regular patrols throughout the shift keeping patients, visitors and staff within a safe environment
What you bring:
- Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities
- Excellent communication and awareness skills
- Experience in working in a similar role
- Knowledge of security techniques and local emergency procedures
- An SIA Door Supervisor Licence is essential for this role

Package Description
The right candidate has a great opportunity to join our esteemed security team as a Security Officer! Do you want to make a difference, create a safe environment and provide security for those around you? If your answer is yes, keep reading because this might be for you! - 38.5 hours per week
- Working 4 on 4 off on a rolling rota Day Shift: 6 am – 6 pm and Night Shift 6 pm – 6 am.
- £12.50 per hour - (Enhanced rate between midnight to 5.00 am is £15.00 per hour)

Please note an SIA Door Supervisor Licence is mandatory for this position
