Security Officer

What you’ll do: 

  • Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols 
  • Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control, and other protective systems  
  • Act as a first-line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting  
  • Log and transfer calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors, and staff 
  • To carry out regular patrols throughout the shift 

What you bring: 

  • Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities  
  • A full current driving license 
  • Excellent communication and awareness skills 
  • Experience in working in a similar role 
  • Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures

Role Responsibility

  • Ad-hoc support for our security operations
  • Regular Bag Searches
  • Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure
  • Patrolling, securing and monitoring premises, sometimes with the aid of closed circuit television (CCTV), Internal and External
  • Supervising the door for a large organisation
  • Supporting with Reception Duties
  • Supporting with Laundry Duties
  • Supporting in the Reception shop
  • Health and Safety and Evacuation procedures

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will be a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times.
  • Good IT knowledge is key,
  • You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which will include nights and weekends.

Package Description

  • 73.50 hour per week
  • 3 weeks on 3 weeks off - Nightshift
  • £15.73 per hour
  • Transport from Aberdeen to Shetland Provided
