About the role
At Sodexo, our Security Officers are vital in making sure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our clients. We currently have vacancies for Security officer to join our friendly and dedicated team at Doosan Babcock in Renfrew.
You’ll be playing a big part in keeping our colleagues and our site safe and secure with a keen eye and a brilliant way with people.
You’ll be booking in visitors, monitoring CCTV, visible day and night patrols of our site, reporting and assisting with any security issues and ensuring all our paperwork is up to scratch.

A few things about you
We want you to bring your great attention to detail, customer service skills and I.T know-how. Don’t forget to bring your team spirit and great communication skills too
An SIA licence is needed and if you also have experience in a similar role and/ or hold a CCTV Licence that would be great but, if you don’t have these, we would still love to hear from you!

Role Responsibility
- Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous and helpful at all times whilst carrying out duties to the highest levels.
- To ensure exemplary standards in personal grooming, strictly adhering to the site uniform requirements.
- Undertake security duties as required
- To deal efficiently with Admin / security and deal with emergencies including fire and bomb scares ensuring the customers are kept fully informed at all times.
- Provide assistance to third party contractors / visitors ensuring all site procedures / policies are adhered too.
- To liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and the provision of information.
- Maintain continuous monitoring of site radio systems adhering to correct radio procedures at all times.
- Diligent management and maintenance of site records / reference materials including Health & Safety records, Incident Forms and the site occurrence book
- To provide regular liaison and timely feedback to the management team on all aspects of service delivery, implementing effective solutions and corrective action to enhance the service.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
- Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events.
- To develop excellent working relationships with our onsite customers
