What you’ll do: 

  • Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols 

  • Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems  

  • Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting  

  • Log and transfer calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff 

  • To carry out regular patrols throughout the shift 

What you bring: 

  • Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities  

  • Excellent communication and awareness skills 

  • Experience in working in a similar role 

  • Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures

Role Responsibility

Job Description

We are looking for professional and ambitious Security Officers to protect our customer site, assets and personnel. Your duties would include, but are not limited to; liaising with the client, client staff and visitors on site and site patrolling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry to authorised personnel only
  • Locking and unlocking the premises at specified times
  • Prevent loss and damage to client site by reporting irregularities
  • Take accurate notes to complete reports, log book entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
  • Ensure risk assessment and assignment instructions are followed at all times to meet the customer requirements
  • Deal with customers, staff and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • You may have the opportunity to attend training courses as required.
  • To take effective action in an emergency and co-operate fully with the relevant services
  • Carry out any other duties of a reasonable request by the client

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Valid SIA License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good Organisational skills
  • High level of professionalism
  • Flexibility
  • Reliable with excellent time keeping
  • Ability to use initiative and adapt to any situation 

Desirable

  • Self-motivated
  • Computer literate- Microsoft
  • Experience working with the Security industry

Package Description

Full time Officer required an Average of 42.5 hours per week?
£12.62 per hour
Shift work consisting of 7 on 3 off and 7 on 4 off nights Monday to Friday 23:30-07:30 Weekends 19:30-07:30 then Days weekends 07:30-19:30 and Monday to Friday 15:30-23:30 
Full uniform supplied
Full training provided
