Security Concierge

Job Introduction

To ensure all customers are delivered the highest quality of service through efficient management of the service desk and continuous improvement to service delivery. Writes daily reports and maintain a diligent record of legal and illegal activities. Develop and maintain good working relationships with a range of personnel to ensure premises are secure at all times.

Role Responsibility

• Receiving calls and visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
• Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls.
• Sorting post, franking post, receive and dispatch post, ensure the courier dispatch log is completed accurately, book last minute courier request and complete end of day manifest for specific couriers.  
• Organise taxi bookings for staff and clients as and when required.
• Escorting guests/ contractors.
• Answering REES phone calls and alert departments of any issues. Investigate and escalate when required.
• Paging Site (make announcements when required).
• Patrolling (carrying out scheduled and unscheduled internal patrols of buildings, patrolling the staff car park,
• ensure the building is safe and secure e.g. secure all windows on the ground floor, conduct inspection of first aid boxes, check all fire doors are secure and operate correctly, conducting visual checks on all fire-fighting appliances and setting door alarms and carry out clean desk patrols outside of normal working business hours.
• Participate in the security development programme to continuously improve own knowledge and skills.
• Ground’s safety (grit the pathways around the facility and the carpark when required).
• Conduct key log audits.
• Monitor CCTV camera’s (responding to all events that require investigating, liaise with cross site security teams, local authorities or campus security for assistance when required).
• Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time to support the department and the business.

The Ideal Candidate

• Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with a range of staff (such as operating department practitioners,  healthcare staff, pharmacy staff, administration staff  and external suppliers of equipment and supplies)
• Experience of working within a regulated area.
• The ability to prioritise activities where most needed.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Physically fit for carrying out patrol duties
• Frontline SIA licence holder .
• Team working, part of a team but responsible for their own work
• Organisational skills.
• Customer service skills.
