Sales and Events Executive

Job Introduction

As Sales and Events Executive you will bring your sales experience within events and conferencing to join our high performing team who have experienced growth in increased revenue year on year in this arena.

Our venue portfolio includes some of the most sought after spaces in Scotland offering conference and banquet facilities for up to 2000 guests

We are seeking an exceptional candidate who not only can achieve set targets and build on our success within our heritage and events business.

Key aspects of the role include converting enquiries through the provision of accurate sales quotations, maintaining and building strong relations with venue client to enhance the retention of current clients and customers, gaining referrals for new business and attracting new customers, ensuring Prestige Venues & Events optimises market share opportunities within our current venues.

Role Responsibility

  • Ensuring correspondence is distributed to the correct people in a timely manner
  • Responsible for enquiry follow-up and conversion activity is in-line with company standards
  • Following up with key clients on mailings that have been sent out by telesales or face to face contact to ensure a successful roll out of any new or special event products
  • Up-selling other products and Prestige venues to increase sales revenue and profits across the business
  • Executing of specific research projects as directed
  • Conducting pro active sales appointments with potential & existing clients for your venue with support from National Sales Team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Comprehensive experience working within conferencing, banqueting and events sales
  • Effective communication skills and relationship building/management at all levels
  • Demonstrable sales targets achievement and generation of leads
  • Demonstrable ability to develop contact base to ensure repeat business and successful customer conversion
  • Demonstrable attention to detail when producing package quotations
  • Supportive team player (liaison with wider Sales and Operations teams) but able to work on own initiative
