Sales and Event Co-ordinator

Job Introduction

Sodexo Live! have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales and Event Co-ordinator to join our first-class team at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

This is an exciting fast paced role giving you the opportunity to manage and be responsible for all hospitality and events catering services. You will be the first point of contact for customers organising events and co-ordinating space/set up, ensuring overall management of events and functions from start to end. You will drive new and existing business through internal and external engagement.

This will suit an excellent organiser with a passion for providing first class customer service.  You will display confidence and professionalism throughout the enquiry handling process employing sales techniques and delivering results as part of a high performing sales team.

Main Responsibilities
What you'll do:
 
  • Assist in the delivery of a first-class event, hospitality and conferencing experience through attentive service.
  • Take ownership of hospitality and conferencing marketing collateral and liaise with appropriate departments to continually review and distribute new and refreshed marketing material.
  • Be visible and build relationships with all levels of customer and client.
  • To be a point of contact for customers organising events
  • Co-ordinate event space booking/ availability, set up with the events coordinator.
  • Understand and work within scope of Sodexo’s food safety policy and promote hospitality options.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all events are carried out in accordance with customer requirements, site and SHE compliance.

The Ideal Candidate
What you bring:
 
  • Client and customer focused.
  • Exceptional communicator and organizer
  • Previous experience of organising events (Desirable)
  • Previous sales or marketing experience (Desirable)
  • A strong knowledge of the local events market
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent communication verbal & written skills
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office 
  • Excellent relationship building skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver measurable sales targets
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to prioritise various job demands.
