Job Introduction
As the Sales Director at Sodexo, you are not only an experienced leader but also a strategic thinker and performance driver. You’ll lead and invigorate the Sales team & function within Corporate Services the UK&I, actively driving the development of Sodexo’s business by creating strategies for securing new business and renewing contracts specialising in generating additional opportunities for Sodexo.
As a member of the Corporate Services Executive Management Team, you will set sales objectives, pipeline, and resource allocation for the function to achieve sales budgets whilst managing the end-to-end sales process through developing solutions to exceed clients’ expectations and create a competitive advantage.
What you'll do:
- Lead and manage the Sales team, ensuring the achievement of sales objectives and targets.
- Own the development of a strong sales pipeline that meets our strategic plan in identified sectors within the region.
- Develop and execute robust sales strategies to secure new business and renew contracts.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with the strategic plan for the Corporate Services segment.
- Lead sales enablement and performance to develop the Business Development team.
- Act as the voice of the customer at the segment leadership level, communicating demands and market realities.
- Ensure the team and segment achieve target conversion rates and KPIs through performance management and people development.
- Deliver complex and competitive bid submissions on time and within budget.
- Maintain strong bid conversion rates for the sales function.
- Project manage & sponsor key accounts for organic and new development growth.
- UK&I Leadership for multi-regional and pan-segment opportunities and growth strategies – working with Global Strategic Accounts, UK&I Sales Leads across segments and Regional Sales Leads in Europe, APAC, NORAM.
- Ensure the transfer of best practices from deals/customers solutions across the segment and region.
What you bring:
- Proven experience in sales leadership and delivering results.
- Ability to manage a team of Business Development Directors/Managers, driving performance and engagement.
- Experience in working within a matrix structure, building effective relationships with key stakeholders.
- Highly numerate with commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience in devising Food / IFM solutions for diverse organisations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and impact others.
- An influential communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
