Sales Director – The Good Eating Company
Sodexo are looking for an innovative, motivated and experienced Sales Director to lead the growth agenda at The Good Eating Company (GEC). Reporting into the GEC Managing Director, you will be a key part and active member of the GEC Senior Leadership Team
You will play a critical role in driving the growth of the business and ensuring the continued success of The Good Eating Company and the wider Sodexo Group. Role Responsibility
Main Responsibilities
We are a small team and this is a hands on role.
Your role will include:
- Developing, implementing and owning the GEC sales strategy to grow the company through new business and cross sell activity
- Building and managing a sustainable pipeline in target sectors to deliver our future growth aspirations
- Own, nurture and support prospect client relationships to position GEC as a market leader
- Develop winning proposal documents supported with accurate financial models
- Manage the end to end sales process with prospective clients, identifying their needs and designing bespoke proposals to showcase the best of GEC
- Develop quality insights into key trends and how GEC offers should evolve to meet the future needs of our clients
- Provide thought leadership practices and guidance to the operation and culinary teams to develop innovative and commercially attractive solutions
- Encourage innovation to develop and grow the business and secure GEC’s position as a preferred partner
- Support B2B marketing activity inline with the overall sales approach
- Develop, inspire and manage the GEC sales and support team, ensuring resources are effectively used to grow the business
- Develop a strong network across consultants and clients, attending industry events and external networking opportunities to promote GEC
- Leading and supporting retention and re-bid activity
- Delivery of personal and overall sales targets through profitable, right client, right terms business
- Develop cross sell opportunities for our parent company through current and new clients.

You should also have:
- Experience of having worked successfully at a senior management level in a high-quality contract catering or other relevant industry
- Exceptional client relationship management skills, experienced in truly understanding and interpreting client needs, even the ones they did not realised they had
- Proven experience in our target markets, ideally with relationships in place
- Demonstrable track record of developing successful sales and business development strategies
- Management of the total bid process for new and retained business
- Proven experience of managing a successful sales and/or sales support team
- Successfully delivered challenging annual sales targets through own and team activities
- Development of commercially viable solutions based on techniques and strategies to understand client needs and price products/services accordingly
- Proven ability to engage and manage wider functional teams to gain the support and resources needed to drive business growth
- Ability to develop ideas, initiatives and new approaches across all areas and work with support teams to realise your vision
Base
The majority of GEC business is within the centre of London and the home counties, your time will be split between working from home, client and prospects sites. Some national travel will also be required.
Package Description
Excellent base salary with uncapped commission plus excellent benefits package including car allowance, pension etc
