SAP MM Consultant
Job Introduction
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our IS&T team providing SAP support; supporting the business and managing successful projects to enhance the SAP Materials Management (MM) footprint. You will need to be a Senior SAP consultant with knowledge of SAP MM solution capabilities and MM configuration experience. Role Responsibility
- Support the current MM footprint
- Analyze and resolve MM issues
- Conduct process configuration changes for approved change requests
- Update and maintain functional documentation
- Analyze and scope end user authorization roles
- Conduct Unit Tests, System Integration Tests, Performance Tests and Security Tests
- Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes
- Manage projects to enhance the current SAP footprint
- Support the functional teams with issues and come up with solutions
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Knowledge of SAP MM solution capabilities and business process configurations including cross functional integration touch points
- Project Management experience
- Configuration of master data and the ability to guide and train the users on Business Process.
- Significant, proven customizing experience within SAP MM
- Demonstrable experience of working effectively with SAP developers
- Thorough knowledge of business processes within SAP MM
- Experienced in playing a major role in implementation projects
- Excellent consultancy skills and a pro-active attitude
- Experience in writing functional requirements / designs
- The ability to work independently as well as in project teams
Desirable
- Good knowledge of standard data migration tools within SAP i.e. LSMW or via Interface
- Experience in Integrating SAP MM with SD, FI/CO, PM, PS.
- Experience in EDI, Idocs processing and configuration
- Understanding of workflow scenarios within SAP MM and SRM
- Experience in working with the SAP PM and SD modules
- Knowledge of the SAP Industry Solution for Retail – IS-Retail
- Experience in working in a service / outsourcing industry (particularly facilities management, retail, catering)

This role is based in Salford, but Stevenage would be considered as an alternative base location provided the successful candidate can travel to Manchester 2 – 4 times per month.
