SAP Functional Team Lead

Job Introduction

Our Information, Systems and Technology (IS&T) team is undergoing an exciting period of change and transformation, and to help further us on our journey we’re looking for a SAP Team Lead to join us.

To be successful in this role, you will provide team leadership and line management of SAP functional team within the Sodexo UK & Ireland IS&T HR & Finance team, performing process and data analysis, design, and testing of core modules of SAP ERP Central Component (ECC). 

You will ensure that the Sodexo UK & Ireland SAP solutions are maintained and supported in line with Sodexo standards. This includes third-line issue management, scheduling of jobs, maintenance of key data elements and interfaces to other systems. You will also ensure delivery of SAP system changes and enhancements as per business needs, to expected timescales and standard 

You will liaise with the business systems owners, third-party software providers and IS&T teams to ensure quality solutions are provided in line with Sodexo strategies and capabilities.

This is an exciting role where you’ll be able to quickly see the benefit and value add that you bring to our organisation, you’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders and technical experts and have the opportunity to collaborate at a global level.

No fixed location but expected to travel to Salford on regular basis. 

Role Responsibility

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Sodexo internal SAP Functional Consultants 

  • Holistic involvement in service delivery lifecycle - receive and manage demand from the business; understand and confirm requirements; allocate and prioritise across team; ensure delivery to expected quality and timescales 

  • Ensure output delivery from Third Party Suppliers to agreed timescales and as per service level agreement 

  • Identify and manage gaps in Sodexo knowledge of SAP application, ensuring use of third party provider and development of internal staff where appropriate to futureproof delivery of service to expectant quality 

  • Provide empirical and proven knowledge in MM and SD modules in particular to enhance service offering of product to meet business needs 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential 

5+ years’ experience of full implementation SAP lifecycles; deploying, managing and enhancing SAP systems 

5+ years’ experience in managing specific SAP system support activity  

Demonstrable experience in minimum of two of the following SAP modules; FICO, HCM, MM, SD 

Line management experience 

Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation including experience of communicating technical information to a non-technical audience. 

Experience of managing relationships with third-party software providers 

Maintenance of business knowledge and evidence of applying SAP product knowledge to deliver new solutions. 

 

Desirable 

Educated to a minimum of degree level and / or professional qualifications IT or Finance subject 

Knowledge of ITIL® principles and methodologies 

Package Description

£60,000-£65,000 per annum + bonus + benefits
