Job Introduction

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Retail Optimisation Manager (Retail Manager) to join our food platform team working with our site teams within segment to grow retail sales and margins. This is a mobile role covering the southern part of the country, you must drive and be flexible to travel to Stevenage, Swindon and central London offices.

Reporting into the Head of Retail you will work across UK&I food platform teams to ensure new retail service development is aligned to business & marketing strategy and engagement to attain Retail plan objectives. Ensures communication of strategy, positioning and progress to operational stakeholder groups

This role would ideally suit a Retail Manager with experience of optimising retail sales and margins with a convenience retail background however all retail backgrounds will be welcomed. Role Responsibility

Strategy
- Supports the Head of Retail by driving the deployment of Sodexo’s Retail Space & Planning strategy to optimize the selection and deployment of Services to drive profitable growth

Retail Development & Deployment
- Implements Service Deployment approaches, tools and project management best practices
- Leads the deployment of Global Retail programs and solutions into UK&I
- Oversees retail category insight and use to inform plans
- Drives continuous assessment of current Retail Service deployment effectiveness and provide feedback, identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve Gross Profit through offer improvements using analytical techniques.

Retail Pricing
- Supports the development & implementation of Retail Pricing Strategy with requisite support & training tools to optimize average unit volumes and transaction values
- Engage stakeholders to understand and improve Retail Pricing at Segment level

Training
- Ensures plans are in place for development of technical and business skills as appropriate within direct reports
- Determine, develop and execute Retail deployment training programs to build global and regional capabilities at all levels of organization to facilitate Retail Strategy execution

Co-ordination
- UK&I Supply Management and Research and Development
- UK&I IS&T
- Region Food Platform leadership and teams
- Other key stakeholders such as Group Client and Consumer Insights (CCI), Global Food Safety (HSE team) and Group Corporate Responsibility

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

Experienced retail manager ideally with a convenience retail background
Experience of category management and product deployment
Experience of current trends and market knowledge
Driving licence and flexibility to travel in the South of England particularly to (Stevenage, Swindon and London)
