Role Responsibility
Catering Tasks
To create standardised, nutritious food for services to patient, staff and visitors in a hygienic manner as laid down by Food Safety and Health and Safety Legislation
- Responsible for providing and maintaining a good standard of catering for patients staff and visitors.
- Maintaining an efficient workplace to reduce wastage and promote an environmentally sound area.
- Provision of special dietary meals as requested by the dietary team.
- Ensuring security of stores, equipment and premises..
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the line manager.
Food Service Duties
- Counter service of all hot food, ensuring adherence to portion control instructions
- Temperature monitoring and recording
- Sandwich and salad preparation
- Restocking all products using stock rotation methods
- Responsibility to ensure safe, timely and well-presented hospitality functions
- Operating the morning or afternoon bun run as required
- Operation of cash registers and security of monies within
- Clearing tables and ensuring a hygienic eating area
- Operation of the dishwasher

Package Description
We are looking for a Retail Catering Assistant to work at North Devon District Hospital. Duties include: General cleaning of kitchen & restaurant areas to a high standard Preparing and serving beverages and meals. Monitor and record temperatures of food
24.5 per week, 3 month fixed term Contract, £8.93 per hour
Shift
Week 1: Monday 12:00-19:30, Saturday 14:30-19:30, Sunday 09:30-14:30
Week 2: Monday & Thursday 07:45-14:45, Friday 12:00-19:30, Saturday 09:30-14:30, Sunday 14:30-19:30
Week 3: Tuesday & Thursday 12:00-19:30, Friday 07:45-14:45
Saturday enhancement £12.77 per hour, Sunday and Public Holiday £16.52 per hour
