Regional Recruitment Manager

Job Introduction

We are looking for a dynamic and independent professional with solid recruitment experience and a flexible, enthusiastic and can-do attitude to lead the Regional Recruitment Team.  You will lead the team to deliver against their monthly KPI’s and provide full recruitment and retention advice to the team in a timely, relevant and professional manner. You will work as part of the Regional Leadership team to ensure the region is achieving the desired outcomes and objectives.

Role Responsibility

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment:

  • Implementation, review and communication of recruitment policies and processes
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to improve recruitment targets
  • Ensure the recruitment of Nurses and Carers is carried out in accordance with ISO and CQC requirements including the necessary compliance checks including, but not limited to, DBS, references and right to work
  • Direct liaison with Capita for DBS requests
  • Sit within the Regional Leadership team and work with, Regional Operations Manager, Regional Business Development Manager, Regional Clinical Lead and Regional HR Business Partner
  • Coordinate with Branch Managers to forecast and plan future hiring needs to achieve the branch and regional targets
  • Learn and understand our Applicant tracking & compliance system to act as a superuser and support learning and development within your region
  • Regular use of the applicant tracking & compliance system to monitor, update and encourage a speedy recruitment journey from start to compliance within the regional team
  • Manage the Induction and Training programme for new recruitment consultants
  • Management of the regional recruitment budget, job boards and adverts
  • Understand competitor activity and working with Business Development Manager to develop opportunities for regional growth and performance

 

Retention:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to improve carer retention
  • Identify ways to improve our employer brand
  • Save/Stay questionnaires to be completed and analysed to improve the member experience
  • Implement and monitor the member retention plan for all new members in the region for the initial 12 weeks from compliance

 

Reporting to Head of Recruitment:

  • Provide ongoing monthly analysis of recruitment metrics as required
  • Analyse and report on turnover and retention trends
  • You will work within agreed deadlines and targets. 

 

General responsibilities:

  • Provide full support and advice to your business area
  • Ensure policies and procedures are accurate and in line with current legislation (where appropriate) and communicating any changes
  • Occasionally support with the day-to-day responsibilities of the team when required
  • Be a champion for internal customer service
  • Do any other reasonable things your manager needs you to do
  • To deputise for the Head of Recruitment where required

The Ideal Candidate

KEY ATTRIBUTES/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • An adaptable and flexible attitude
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Experience of leading recruitment activities with a similar business
  • 5 years Commercial or inhouse recruitment experience
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of job boards and professional social sites such as Totaljobs, LinkedIn, Indeed etc
  • Outstanding people skills, with the ability to influence others and establish effective working relationships
  • A team player, but with the ability to work under own initiative to deliver to deadline
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Proven work experience as a Recruiting Manager or Recruitment Consultant

 

Desirable

  • Experience of managing a team of recruiters in the healthcare sector
  • Experience of process improvement within recruitment
  • Experience of recruiting within social care or health and have good sector knowledge
  • Have knowledge of and operate in line with ISO and CQC requirements/legislation

Package Description

  • A competitive salary 32k-35k
  • Yearly bonus dependant on Region achieving targets set in place and company profits
  • 28 days annual leave increasing every year by 1 to the maximum of 33 days over 5 years service
