Receptionist

Job Introduction

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday (shifts 0700 - 1500 and 1000 - 1800)
  • £12.97 per hour

Job Introduction:

Join our Receptionist team to deliver outstanding customer service as the first point of contact for visitors while supporting the cleanliness and smooth running of HMRC Bristol, BS2 0EL. You’ll help with general reception, administrative tasks, porter duties, and assist across site operations to maintain excellent standards and client satisfaction.

What you’ll do:
  • Welcome visitors and provide first-class customer service.

  • Carry out general receptionist and administrative duties: answering calls, emails, filing, and organising paperwork.

  • Maintain cleanliness in designated areas, including café and shared spaces.

  • Operate till and follow cash handling procedures as required.

  • Assist catering, mailroom, and other site teams as needed.

  • Report maintenance issues and ensure health, safety, and security procedures are followed.

  • Participate in training and follow site-specific procedures (COSHH, cleaning, food safety).

  • Assist with moving furniture and setting up rooms for meetings/functions.

  • Be flexible to work additional hours to cover team absences.

What You Bring:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

  • Ability to identify the required standard for tasks and complete them efficiently.

  • Support team goals and work collaboratively.

  • Flexible, reliable, and organised.

Desirable:

  • Ability to work on your own initiative.

  • Previous experience in reception, administration, or cleaning roles is a plus, but full training will be provided.
