Project Manager (Roof Access/Construction)

Job Introduction

Are you looking to make an impact? We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to assess, design and lead the installation of a roof safety access system and construction projects across 3 of our PPP Schools in Ireland.

Based on a fixed term contract, this is an opportunity to lead an end-to-end project that will enhance the safety and working environment of our employees, customers and contractors. Taking a hands-on approach, you will successfully deliver the project on time, within budget and in line with specification and legislation.

Role Responsibility

  • Management and execution of the following projects: Roof Access Project across 3 schools in Portlaoise and Ferbane, plus unit fit outs and small construction projects at Abbeyfeale Community College and Wicklow Community School.
  • Scoping, management and delivery of the projects to include design procure and management of delivery of all works.
  • Review project requests, set out further information required and comment of feasibility and deliverability, managing client expectations
  • Control all aspects of project delivery on site, liaising with; clients, end users, accounts, operations and senior team colleagues.
  • Procure works, manage the supply chain ensuring sufficient skill and capacity available.
  • Control works and contractors, ensuring best practice Health and Safety. Making sure the project meets budget and time constraints.
  • Manage risks, set out any identifiable risks, share with management team and allocate appropriate Risk owners.
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in a Project Management role, ideally with completion of a similar assignment.
  • Proven track record and working experience of Irish Regulation -Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 291 of 2013)
  • Experience/qualification specific to working at height
  • Experience in construction/ maintenance/hard FM
  • IT literate – experience of using MS Office
  • HNC/HND in a relevant building services /surveying/project management discipline.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate a team to deliver a variety of services to a consistently high standard
  • Experienced in managing budgets and project finance
  • Willing and able to challenge accepted practices and processes.
  • Ability to keep focus on day-to-day performance whilst simultaneously pursuing longer-term opportunities.
  • Prepared to commit to project completion
  • Health and safety knowledge IOSH qualification as minimum

Package Description

Band B, €55,000 plus car (pro rata, fixed term contract)
