PMO Lead – UK&I

Position Overview:
As the PMO Lead for the UK&I region within the Corporate Services Deployment and Transformation team. The role is to establish and maintain the PMO function which includes project management standards, processes, and governance. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of operational, data, and technology based projects in alignment with Sodexo's governance standards. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, and play a crucial role in creating status reports that will enable decision-making processes at a senior leadership level. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a clear and reliable tracking dashboard to oversee all transformation activities, sales opportunities, and operational projects.
  • Establish project management standards, processes, and governance to ensure adherence to Sodexo standards.
  • Optimise resource utilisation within the segment to support the overall delivery plan.
  • Initiate regular communications with key segment stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Incorporate data and insights to support Sodexo teams in achieving the overall delivery plan.
  • Collaborate with operational leadership, sales, marketing, and technical SMEs to drive project success.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues, providing support for critical decision-making at the leadership level.
  • Manage resource forecasting and address clash detection issues for deployments and mobilisations.
  • Facilitate the reporting of project statuses to improve deployment processes and decision-making.
  • Maintain project governance standards and repository of operational issues.
  • Plan and coordinate all projects, deployments, and operational activities effectively.

Person Specification:
Essential:
  • Strong communication skills to articulate business objectives and technical information clearly.
  • Ability to formulate and communicate a PMO in-year business plan.
  • Proficiency in data analytics to inform recommendations and decisions.
  • Resilience and clarity of thought under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solution-focused mindset with the ability to create realistic mitigation plans.
  • Multi-level stakeholder management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience.
  • Project Management Certification (APM/PMI/Sigma/Prince2) or similar.
  • Demonstrable PMO responsibility and qualification.
Desirable:
  • IPMO Foundation, CSM, or similar certification.

Other Information:
  • Willingness to travel with direct links to London and work flexible hours as necessary.
