Production Operative

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for 8 Production Operatives to join our team on a fixed term basis, at our manfacturing site in Trafford Park. 

Our team have joined the global effort to increase the supply of masks for hospitals, first responders and other organizations during these unprecedented times, and we need your help. 

You will be responsible for packing, wrapping and transporting masks, ensuring health and safety and cleanliness procedures are followed.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Packing masks grouped in 10 each into a box
  • Manual translation of grouped masks (within approx. 2m)
  • Placing cardboard boxes with masks on a pallet, wrapping the pallet and wrapping it with a label (as on Pampers production linen)
  • Taking care of a workstation in a fenced-off mask production area: Cleaning of the area (vacuuming, spiral cleaning of covers, conveyors, simple line cleaning)
  • Transportation of raw materials and the finished product (on a pallet using manual lifting trolleys) in the mask production area
  • Compliance with safety requirements (separate training for each employee)
  • Compliance with GPM requirements (working with masks, caps, gloves): Working clothes and shoes are provided by the service provider, other protective equipment (masks, caps, gloves are provided by P&G).
  • Report current faults and defects to the P&G shift leader.
  • Application of materials to the unwinder (splice preparation).

Package Description

Fixed term contract from 18th May 2020 - 31st August 2020

12 hour shifts days/nights so must be flexible 

£9.20 per hour
