Postroom Operative

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Postroom Support Operative to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • To ensure the day to day running of the post room meets and exceeds the clients expectations and to deliver an excellent level of service to all users.
  • To ensure timely delivery and processing of all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • To be proficient in the use of the electronic parcel tracking system (WTS), training will be provided for use of the system.
  • To continually improve and look for efficiencies in methods and processes within the post room and the wider campus.
  • To build and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and client staff.
  • To provide a monthly written report to the service delivery manager highlighting what went well and things to improve on.
  • To be aware of and promote relevant statutory and company health and safety compliance.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Essential

  • Previous experience of working in a postroom environment.
  • Ability to solve problems and implement appropriate
  • Previous experience of working in standards driven/compliance environment
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety .....
  • Ability to prioritise and deploy resources effectively
  • Previous experience of dealing with customers both face to face and via e-mail and telephone.
  • Client relationship experience

Desirable

  • Awareness of quality management systems e.g. ISO's
  • Ability to think on your feet and to be proactive in suggesting and implementing improvements to systems and ways of working.
  • Excellent customer service skills
